It has been a very busy summer so far for Chinook Dog Centre.
We have hosted our first two herding trials and watched many fantastic dog/handler teams Qualify, Title and have a great time. I am so proud of the many CDC herding students and your many accomplishments.
Our own CDC dogs have had great success as well. Vucko (GCh Catchpens Promise For Gold CDI RE HAS AgNS) earned his Advanced Arena Sheep title with 3/3 Qualifying Runs. What a great dog to have such success while also sheep handling and switching sheep for all the other competitors as well. Denny (Sommer Denny HAS) has been super busy and earned his Started Arena Sheep, Intermediate Arena Sheep and Advanced Arena Sheep as well as 3 High in Trials and 4 Reserve High in Trials all in 3 weekends! What an amazing team partner to train and trial with.
The girls and I have also had a great time competing in Conformation and Rally-O this August. Shayla and Macey (Baywood Call Me Miss Macey RI) earned their Intermediate Rally-O title with a High in Class. The two of them have also shown at two more shows and are looking forward to more conformation in September, hoping to earn the rest of their championship points. Shayla and Macey are working towards their Advanced Rally-O, Pre-Novice Obedience and Novice Agility titles this fall.
Vucko and I dusted off our conformation lead and have earned 2 more points towards our Grand Champion Bronze title. 3 more to go……. We also earned our Excellent Rally-O title in one weekend at the Edmonton Kennel Club show. We are now working towards our Advanced Stockdog Sheep, Masters Rally-O, Open Obedience and Intermediate Agility (with little Azra handling) titles this fall.
We have a full plate coming into the fall but I am really looking forward to it!
