We are keeping busy through the fall trying to enjoy the outdoor season for as long as possible before we move indoors. We have been extremely fortunate with our amazing weather this year. The cold weather will not scare us away though as we have booked winter lessons at the Sturgeon Agiplex. This is a wonderful indoor, heated arena that I have used in the past and I think will be a great place for us to keep our pooches working.
We are starting Intro to Rally-O skills as well as Advanced/Excellent Rally classes Monday, Oct 17 as well as Advanced Agility and Masters Agility on Thursday, Oct 20.
Indoor Herding will start mid- November.
The competition season has still been full swing for our CDC dogs and we are proud to announce a few new exciting accomplishments.
GChB Catchpens Promise For Gold CDI RE HAs AgNS AgNJV “Vucko” earned his Grand Champion Bronze title with Group 3 and Group 4 placements at the Lloydminster Kennel Club Show. He was also High in Class with a lovely score in Open HB Obedience at the Red Deer & District Kennel Club Show. One more pass to earn his CDX title. Crossing fingers as he is entered again in Camrose the end of October.
Baywood Call Me Miss Macey RI “Macey” and Shayla showed really well and got lots of miles in the conformation ring in Lloydminster and are working so well as a team. They also tried their very first Obedience trial in Red Deer and had some really nice moments. A little more practice and they will hit the ring again. The two of them are entered in some more conformation in Camrose still hoping for some more points towards their Championship title.
Sommer Denny HAs “Denny” and Christine are our first CDC team to enter a herding field trial. They headed to Hurricane Hills for the Novice/Novice trials. They finished 5th place in the first round and had a really great experience. I am so very proud of them both. I look forward to cheering these two on at more trials next year.
