We have had a super busy July here at CDC. Two agility trials as well as a herding trial. We started off with our annual CKC agility trial. It was a really great weekend and our judge Sandra Maday was amazing. There were so many great runs and titles earned. We are looking forward to hosting again next year. July 15 was our Arena Sheep and Arena Duck herding trial. We had 10 Sheep and 6 Duck runs. The dogs are sure improving and I am so proud of all of the students and their pups. This past weekend wrapped up our July events with our annual AAC Agility trial. It was a super small entry but we had two great judges (Christina Sanders and Denise Reid-Clarke) and the weather cooled off a bit for us so we were able to enjoy the weekend. We may swap format next year but everything is still TBD.
We are now looking forward to our upcoming August herding. August 12 we have one Stockdog Sheep run and August 26 we will be running one Arena Sheep and one Arena Duck once again. There is also a group of us planning on heading out to the ACDCC Herding Trials at Chasin Dreams Arena mid month. Slick and I will hit the Advanced Arena once again, now working on Championship points and crossing our fingers that we pass our last leg of AHBA level 3. Vucko will be joining the party and trying Advanced Cattle for the first time. The old man really loves his cows so I am looking forward to it.
Keep enjoying your fur buddies and I look forward to seeing you all out at the trials!
