Our busy 2026 herding season has come to a close. CDC hosted 2 of our own CKC Herding trials as well as 2 trials for the Pembroke Corgi Club and 1 for the Samoyed Club, 4 Herding Instinct Fundraisers and many lessons and stock time throughout our short summer. Our CDC crew also had the chance to travel to McBride twice for clinics with Jen L’Arrivee from Dore River Border Collies and we also made it to our first 2 field trials! MRF June completed her Herding Arena Champion as well as her Herding Excellent titles and both her and Slick earned some more Stockdog Championship points. Phew! The sheep are now enjoying their well deserved time off and we are already planning for next summer. Our Sturgeon County Kennel Club herding trials are approved and posted on Canuck Dogs and lots of plans to make our way back to McBride and to many more field trials. We look forward to seeing you all back out in the spring. Happy Training Everyone
