Lessons are in full swing at the Sturgeon Agriplex. The dogs, sheep and geese have been all doing well and we are very happy to be indoors and out of the snow. Indoor lessons for current students will continue until mid February when we take our lambing break. Our current plan is to get back outdoors for lessons mid to end of May. We will likely also be able to start some new dogs again once we have access to the round pen again. Keep your eyes open for Try it Out information in the spring.
Slick, Denny and Rylan headed down to Airdrie for the Herding East Stockdogs Novice Trial Clinic. It was a really great day with lots of learning and really great handlers and dogs. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone getting ready to start out in Novice arena trials. We will certainly go back again next year and hopefully Little June will be ready to participate as well.
CDC also had a surprise arrival this week. Our first lamb of the season. Now I am really getting excited for the full lambing season. Keep an eye on our Chinook Dog Centre facebook page for lots of pictures and videos.
